Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How old do you have to be to start karate?
A: We start students at 3 years old as long as they are potty trained and they are able to follow simple directions.
Q: Will karate help my kid?
A: Yes, in fact karate can help kids in multiple ways such as Focus, Discipline, Respect and Confidence. Focus is important for anybody to work on especially kids because they use it at school and in everyday life when you ask them to do something. Discipline is achieved at KMAC by learning how to stand straight and doing the right thing even when nobody’s looking. Respect should be number one for all of us and we really make great strides to say Yes Sir and Yes Ma’am. You can also show respect with your body posture by making eye contact and standing up straight. Most kids struggle with confidence because they’ve been bullied in some way. It’s important to be you and always do your best so you can be confident that you have tried your best. Book Your Free Trial Lesson to get started.
Q: Will the class schedule work for me?
A: We have a very flexible schedule at KMAC Karate which has 2 classes for most age groups every day. We have 3 different types of days such as A-day: Monday, Tuesday / B-day: Wednesday, Thursday / C-day: Friday, Saturday. This helps with flexibility for our students so it’s as easy as possible. What our students say about us:
I like them because it helped me see everyone still even though we can’t go to the dojo. I also like being able to still practice my kata in class in my living room and practice beginning and ending on my “mark”.
